ABOUT
Nearly 20 years in quality engineering, leadership, education and community.
My career started in software quality and was never limited to executing tests. Over time, my work expanded into automation, leadership, strategy, different software architectures and, more recently, the challenges of building and testing AI systems.
PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY
From testing software to thinking about quality.
Over nearly two decades, I have worked with web, backend, mobile and embedded systems. My professional journey has included experiences at EPSON Brazil, Linx, Samsung and Mindera, working with very different products, teams and constraints.
That diversity changed the way I see the profession. The more experience I gained, the less I saw quality as a stage in the development process or as the isolated responsibility of QA. For me, it came to mean risk, feedback, observability, automation when it makes sense and, above all, better engineering decisions.
Today, I continue to work with software quality while closely following how AI is changing both the way software is built and the way we evaluate it.

LEADERSHIP
The technical side of my work has never been separate from people.
An important part of my journey has involved leading QA professionals and initiatives. That put me in front of challenges that no tool can solve on its own: conflicting priorities, communication, people development, shared responsibility for quality, and the need to turn strategy into something a team can actually execute.
Much of the mentoring and career development work I do today also comes from that experience.
EDUCATION
Teaching has been part of my career for much longer than Expert QA Academy.
I taught Programming Languages at Faculdade Joaquim Nabuco and worked as an online tutor in the Computer Science Education degree programme at Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco.
I also worked as an instructor in the Deep Code programmes at QUALITI Innovative Learning, teaching programming, databases and software quality.
Expert QA Academy is a continuation of that journey: a space where I can turn practical experience into learning opportunities for other professionals.
COMMUNITY & SPEAKING
Learning in public changed the way I share knowledge.
Today, together with Allan Ferreira, I lead The Test Tribe’s Porto chapter. In addition to organising the community, I have also stepped onto its meetup stages to talk about career development, APIs and the use of AI in repetitive QA work.
Beyond the community, I have delivered talks at conferences and events across Europe and Latin America, as well as at online events.

The common thread remains the same: building greater confidence.
My work today brings together quality engineering, automation, leadership, AI-assisted Software Engineering, testing AI systems, education, mentoring and speaking.
These are different areas, but they are connected by the same idea: quality becomes stronger when it stops being an isolated activity and becomes part of the decisions that shape both the product and engineering.
